Our Client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for their company:

The Chief Financial Officer position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations. The CFO is also responsible for the development of a financial and operational strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and executing companies growth plan
  • Develop short-term and long-term financial and tax strategies
  • Manage the capital needs and budgeting processes
  • Develop performance measures that support current and future needs
  • Exemplify and maintain high levels of written and oral communication skills
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
  • Ensure Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports are complete and accurate
  • Hands on accounting of accurate Projections, WIP, Cash Flows, and Job Costing
  • Maintain good working relationships with all members of the management team
  • Manage the accounting, and oversee the controlling and payroll departments
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies
  • Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
  • Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems
  • Implement operational best practices, and FLSA Regulations
  • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
  • Ensure Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports are complete and accurate
  • Oversee Billing, A/P, A/R, Contract Administration, and Equipment Accounting
  • Hands on preparation, analysis, and issuance of financial information
  • Ensure all tax fillings are prepared and filed accurately and on time
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Perform cash and checking reconciliations
  • Arrange for debt and equity financing
  • Oversee all funding for equipment, workforce, and operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration (Required)
  • 5+ years of previous CFO experience
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in the Heavy Highway Civil Construction Industry (Required)
  • 5+ years of partnering with an executive team (Required)
  • MBA in Finance and CPA or CMA (Highly Desired)
  • M&A experience (Desired)

  • CFO: 5 years
  • Heavy Construction and Highway development: 10 years
  • M&A: 3 years

Required license or certification:

  • CPA/CMA
